Design Guide
Prepare artwork that prints perfectly. DPI, color modes, file formats, and best practices.
Resolution
300 DPI minimum at print size. For a 10"×10" print, your file should be at least 3000×3000 pixels. Vector files (AI, SVG, EPS) are ideal — they scale to any size without quality loss.
Color Mode
Use CMYK color mode for best print accuracy. RGB files will be converted but colors may shift. DTF printers use CMYK + White ink — the white channel creates an underbase for opacity on dark garments.
File Formats
Accepted: PNG (transparent background), JPG (white background), AI, PSD, SVG, EPS, PDF. Preferred: PNG with transparent background at 300 DPI.
Text Guidelines
Minimum text size: 12pt for readable results. Thin fonts and serifs at small sizes may fill in. Convert text to outlines before exporting. Stroke text with at least 0.5pt weight.
White Underbase
For dark garments, we automatically add a white underbase behind your design. Areas you want to show as the garment color should be left transparent in your file. For light garments, no underbase is needed.
